Keynote talk on how museums are rethinking building design to create a greater sense of belonging.  Drawing upon research in neuroarchitecture, spatial considerations of atmosphere, pathways, and affordances were explored to demonstrate how the visitor experience can be enhanced through human centered design.

Western Museums Association Conference

FALL 2025 | RENO, NV

Joined with a curator and architect to present pro-active strategies to engage communities in the process of conceptualizing, designing, and implementing exhibitions. Exploring challenges helped to define new approaches, tools, and practices to connect with and enfranchise communities early in the process.

SPRING 2025 | PORTUGAL

Attended the 5th Edition of the Moving Boundaries Course in Neuroscience, Environmental Psychology, and Architecture in a retreat format in rural Portugal, with presentations by faculty and global participants, discussions, and workshops.

Arizona State University Art Museum

WINTER 2025 | TEMPE, AZ

Engaged in a day-long residency to assess spatial dynamics at the ASU Art Museum, conducted a workshop with staff, and presented a talk on human centered design to ASU Museum and Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts staff and design professionals.

Museum advisor to Studio Gang, selected among six international finalists to render a concept design for the Nelson-Atkins $170M expansion and renovation project.  Finalist to be announced in Spring 2025. Link.
